The Strategy Board (SB) of the Territorial Strategy (TS), part of the Bulgaria-Türkiye Programme, came together on its 6-th meeting in Karnobat, Bulgaria. The forum gathered key representatives from both countries that focused on the progress and future implementation of the TS.
SB members discussed next steps in reaching Strategic Objective 2, which addresses the development of better access to services of general interest in the cross-border region. The Strategy Board deliberated on funding approaches and strategic planning to ensure the successful completion of this objective.
Another topic that was covered was the Evaluation Plan of the TS. Participants emphasized the importance of the evaluation process, its objectives and expected outcomes in assessing progress, identifying challenges and enhancing future implementation. SB members provided input on the evaluation’s significance in improving regional cooperation and optimizing project outcomes.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of Bulgaria and Türkiye in fostering stronger cross-border ties and implementing sustainable projects that benefit local communities. SB acknowledged the importance of ongoing cooperation in addressing regional challenges and enhancing the quality of life in the region.
