Announce on 13/06/2025 the launch of a restricted call for project proposal from the Interreg IPA Bulgaria-Türkiye Programme, Priority 2: “Integrated development of the cross-border region”, Strategic objective 2 “Development of better access to services of general interest” of the Territorial Strategy.
The aim of the restricted call is to strengthen the capacity of the responsible authorities in the cross-border region of Bulgaria and Türkiye for prevention and reaction to climate-related risks and more precisely the wildfires.
The total amount of the call is EUR 5 176 470.
The following institutions are invited to submit a project proposal:
General Directorate Fire Safety and Civil Protection, Ministry of Interior, Bulgaria;
- Istanbul Regional Forestry Directorate, General Directorate of Forestry, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Türkiye.
Each of the above partners may invite up to three additional organizations with relevant competencies in the field of the proposal to participate in the project.
The submission deadline is 30 September 2025, 17:00 (Bulgaria local time)

Please note that subsidy contract will be signed with applicants (including Lead Partner and/or Project Partners) if only the respective project partner has no pending financial obligations to the Managing Authority (if a partner has debts to the Managing Authority (MA), they will be notified by the MA.)
Pursuant to Article 138 of the Financial Regulation (Regulation (EU, Euratom) 2024/2509 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 September 2024 on the financial rules applicable to the general budget of the Union), all project partners are required to settle any registered debts to the MA in order to continue the contracting process. The respective partner has to submit proof that the debt has been fully cleared within 30 calendar days from the date of the notification. Failure to do so within this timeframe will result in the termination of the contracting process for that partner.
