Objectives:

The project aims to drive tourism growth, foster sustainable practices, and promote economic development in Yambol and Kırklareli. It seeks to position these regions as attractive destinations by improving tourism infrastructure and enhancing the skills of the workforce. The project includes renovating and establishing tourism centers, promoting collaboration between businesses and educational institutions, and providing training programs for unemployed people. 

Project activities:

  • Soft activities: Establishing online communication system between the local businesses and training centers
     
  • Tourism related activities: Study visits on sustainable tourism development in festival villages in TR and tourism sites in BG. Preparation of an analysis and a joint 5-year plan for increasing tourism attractiveness
     
  • Infrastructural support to boost sustainable tourism in the cross-border region:
          Kırklareli – renovation and equipment of Training and Festival Centre, incl. establishment of craft workshops for training young people
 
        Village of Dzhinot (Straldzha) – renovation of a Multifunctional Training and Festival Center, incl. repairs of the main concert hall, equipment of rooms and halls for active involvement of children and retired persons in cultural and training initiatives.
