Developing and implementing integrated solutions for low-carbon tourism in the cross-border region of Kırklareli Province, Harmanli and Svilengrad municipalities, along with applying joint efforts of the partners for reduction of the carbon footprint of the tourism sector in the area.

Project activities:

• Soft activities: Dedicated trainings and seminars for tourism sector business for introduction of the low-carbon tourism principles and solution
   
• Tourism related activities: Elaboration of detailed Action plan for introduction of the low-carbon tourism concept in the CBC area and for development of a Low-carbon CBC tourism route  

• Infrastructural support to boost sustainable tourism in the cross-border region: Investments for the development of low-carbon tourism infrastructure
   
  Svilengrad – construction of a bicycle lane along the Kanakliika River
   
  Harmanli – delivery and installation of an electric vehicle charging station. Expansion of tourist offerings through the restoration and exhibition of an early-medieval pottery furnace at the Historical Museum of Harmanli
   
  Kırklareli, Demirköy – delivery and installation of two electric vehicle charging stations and implementation of a bike-sharing system
   
  Kırklareli – renovation of the conference hall in the building of the Kırklareli Chamber of Commerce and Industry to establish a training center.
