Objectives:

To strengthen cross-border cooperation by implementing innovative technologies and practices in textile and meat processing industries, aimed at enhancing sustainability, reducing waste, and promoting the transition towards a circular and resource-efficient economy. This project seeks to foster economic growth and environmental protection in the cross-border region through the exchange of knowledge, technological upgrades, and the organization of forums dedicated to circular economy principles.

Project activities:

  • Circular Economy Investments:

    Bulgaria, Haskovo: Installation of textile quilting sustainable machinery

    Türkiye, Keşan: Installation of advanced meat processing equipment

  • Joint Forums & Knowledge exchange events.

Expected project impact:

  • Resource Efficiency: 10% virgin material reduction and increased reuse in both textile and meat sectors
  • Environmental Impact: Decreasing GHG emissions and lowering pollutant and chemical usage
  • Cross-Border Cooperation: Pilot collaboration that sets a replicable model for cross-border circular economy partnerships.
