Objectives:

Through joint investments to reduce greenhouse emissions and energy consumption, to develop and implement by project partners an innovative cross-border business model of cooperation for energy efficiency, as a stage in their clean and fair energy transition to a net zero carbon economy in food sector, thus contributing to the EU accession process and strengthening territorial cohesion, including exchange of know-how, best practices & information between businesses on both sides of the border.

Project activities:

  • Energy Efficiency Investments:

    Bulgaria: Replacement of refrigerating industrial equipment for cooling meat & waste heat capturing equipment in Burgas

    Türkiye: Supply of climatic cooling industrial system, double sided grinding machine in Inece

  • Events for exchange of best practices, knowledge and skills in Burgas and Kirklareli.

Expected project impact:

Energy Efficiency: maximum possible levels of energy savings in production processes
Environmental Impact: Reduction of GHG emissions ensuring lowest possible carbon footprint in the use of electrical and thermal energy
Cross-Border Cooperation: Promotion of environmental sustainability of SMEs in the CB region.
