Strategy Board gave the green light to 36 concept notes out of 47

The Strategy Board of the Bulgaria-Türkiye programme identified 36 concept notes that contribute for the implementation of the Territorial Strategy (TS). Members of the TS management body reviewed all 47 concepts submitted on a regular meeting in Edirne, Türkiye, on 23rd and 24th August. Next step in the assessment process is the quality check of the documents. Candidates with the best ideas will be invited to hand in full project proposals.

 

Public consultations on the forthcoming call under Priority 1 “Environmentally friendly cross-border region”

Interreg VI-A IPA Bulgaria – Türkiye Programme 2021-2027 publishes for public consultations a package with guidelines for applicants under Priority 1 “Environmentally friendly cross-border region”.

The purpose of the call is to identify project proposals that could contribute to promotion of energy efficiency and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and to promotion of the transition to a circular and resource efficient economy.

The Strategy Board of the Territorial Strategy under the Interreg VI-A IPA Bulgaria - Türkiye Programme 2021-2027 adopted a Methodology for Identification of Project Ideas and a Guide for Application with Concept Notes. Approved documents are an important step in the actual launch of the implementation of the Strategy.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Revision of Guidelines for Pre-defined Applicants under the 1st Restricted Call for Strategic Proposal of the Bulgaria-Türkiye Programme 2021-2027

The Guidelines for Pre-defined Applicants under the 1st Restricted Call for Strategic Proposal of the (INTERREG VI-A) IPA Bulgaria Türkiye Programme were amended by a decision of the Monitoring Committee from 13 March 2023.

Visit of Ms. Magali Lenoel, representative of DG Regional and Urban Policy of the European Commission to Project “Cross-border Regions Collaborate for BLUE GROWTH”

Ms Magali Lenoel, representative of DG Regional and Urban Policy of the European Commission, and the Joint Secretariat of the INTERREG – IPA CBC Bulgaria – Turkey Programme visited on November 30th 2022 the project “Cross-border Regions Collaborate for BLUE GROWTH”, implemented by Trakya University Edirne - Project partner No 2 in the project.

Earlier in the day, Ms Magali Lenoel participated also in the opening of the event “Blue Growth Project Market”, which was conducted in the period 30.11.2022 – 01.12.2022 as part of project activities.

The European Commission approved the INTERREG VI-A IPA Bulgaria-Turkiye 2021-2027 Programme

The European Commission approved the Cross-border Cooperation Programme between Bulgaria and Turkey for the period 2021-2027 with a Decision of November 22, 2022.

Over the next 7 years, over 34 million euros will be invested in the regions of Burgas, Yambol, Haskovo, Edirne and Kirklareli.
