Priority 2 - Integrated Development of the Cross-border Region

Specific objective: RSO5.2. “Development of better access to services of general interest” 

Municipality of Enez, Türkiye

• Municipality of Tundzha, Bulgaria
• Yambol Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bulgaria

Develop the potential of the natural heritage and biodiversity of the cross-border area by creating an environment for learning and popularizing biodiversity and by managing natural resources with tourism potential through the use of renewable energy and recycling practices which will increase the economic growth of the territory.

Project activities:

• Soft activities: Research and analysis of the climate neutrality of the local economy in the municipalities of Tundzha and Enez. Organizing an event for capacity-building of education sector experts, focusing on environmental practices, and creating a "Green School" for children from the cross-border region  
• Tourism related activities: Booklet "Tourism Potential of Biodiversity From The Territory of The Municipality of Tundzha - Flora And Fauna"  
   
• Infrastructural support to boost sustainable tourism in the cross-border region:
   
  Tundzha Municipality – construction  of a visitor center in the Bakadjik park, Yambol, incl. architectural elements & lighting, tourist adventure attractions – rope bridge and forest trolley
   
  Enez – creation of a recreation area and implementation of a system for separate waste collection and recycling on Altınkum Beach.
