Priority 2 - Integrated Development of the Cross-border Region

• Association "CHAR - Black Sea Association for Development - Burgas“, Bulgaria

Fostering the development of the tourist potential on the territory of the municipalities of Topolovgrad (Bulgaria) and Büyükkarıştıran (Türkiye) by promoting cultural initiatives and green practices among the young population in the region of both municipalities and the CBC region, thanks to the uniqueness of the services and products provided, to stimulate economic development in the cross-border region, by popularizing the natural and cultural heritage in а wide territorial scope.

Project activities:

• Soft activities: Development of a Strategy for promoting green models among children and young people in the CBC Region
   
• Tourism related activities: Development of a tourist brand and organization of the Eco Festival "Green Smiles" in Topolovgrad and Büyükkarıştıran to promote it as a regional tourist product
   
• Infrastructural support to boost sustainable tourism in the cross-border region:
   
  Topolovgrad – entire renovation of the infrastructure of the former open-air cinema to establish a Children's Summer Center for Culture and Art
   
  Büyükkarıştıran – renovation and modernization of an existing two-story building to create a Children's Center "Art Workshop for Traditional Crafts".
