To enhance territorial cohesion by fostering collaboration among TR and BG companies in the iron-steel and metalworking industry to collectively promote energy efficiency and mitigate GHG emissions in this energy-intensive industry, by ensuring a minimum of 55% improvement in energy efficiency and reduction of more than 90 tons GHG emissions in the CB area, with modernization of the production technologies and ensuring efficient microclimate.

Project activities:

• Energy Efficiency Investments:

  Bulgaria: Thermal insulation, PVC window replacement, and air conditioners to improve production microclimate

  Türkiye: Replacing melting induction furnace with a cutting-edge energy-efficient machine

• Trainings & Knowledge Sharing event.

Expected project impact:

• Energy Efficiency: Significant improvements in energy use for both companies
• Environmental Impact: Reduction of GHG emissions and promotion of clean production technologies
• Cross-Border Cooperation: Enhanced collaboration between Bulgarian and Turkish metal sectors
