To bring about change in the wood processing industry by introducing and promoting solutions that foster circular production practices. The project strives to make the sector, with its huge resource consumption and environmental impact, more circular, and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future. For doing so, two companies cooperate to increase resource efficiency and optimize waste management and recycling practices in the cross- border region.

Project activities:

• Circular Economy Investments:

  Bulgaria, Harmanli: Supply of a CNC nesting center and edge-banding machine

  Türkiye, Keşan: Supply of a CNC machine, membrane press machine, and multiple drilling machine

• Publicity measures
• Develop a comparative evaluation & efficiency assessment report.

Expected project impact:

• Resource Efficiency: Reduce over 15% waste & 10% virgin material use; increase reuse of secondary materials and product lifespan
• Environmental Impact: Minimize emissions, reduce material waste, support industrial symbiosis
• Cross-Border Cooperation: Joint investments, shared learning, coordinated strategies, and region-wide dissemination of circular practices.
